BTech Civil Engineering is a four year under graduate course divided into eight semesters. A civil engineer designs and plans the development of infrastructural entities such as roads, buildings, dams, canals, etc. BTech  Civil Engineering deals with the study of designing and structuring of buildings, bridges, roads, dams, etc.

The civil engineering subjects that are pursued in this course are geo informatics engineering, environmental engineering, surveying, structural analysis, the strength of materials, etc, which are essential for a skilled civil engineer. BTech Civil Engineering course provides the required knowledge to the students related to ways of construction and material science along with the technology behind it.

Candidates willing to take admission in this course must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% and having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects. Admission can be taken directly or by qualifying JEE examination. Students qualifying JEE examination get relaxation on the fee charged for the course on the basis of the rank secured by them in the exam. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam also. Polytechnic Diploma holders can also take lateral entry or admission in second year of B.Tech.

    • The compulsory subjects in 10+2 are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
