ABOUT BSC HORTICULTURE
BSc Horticulture is a four year undergraduate course that is divided into eight semesters. This course deals with the cultivation of seeds, vegetables, plants, flowers, herbs, fruits, shrubs, gardens, maintaining nurseries, green houses etc. This branch of study also covers plant diseases, growth and genetics.
This course teaches about all the aspects of a plant, from a seed to a fully grown plant. The scientific knowledge imparted during this course helps to enhance the growth and productivity of the plants. The course has many aspects borrowed from Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering etc. There is a huge demand for this course as the market needs quality food at reasonable prices and skilled horticulturists for the growth and development in this field.

- The compulsory subjects in 10+2 are Physics, chemistry and biology/mathematics.
