BSc Horticulture is a 4 year undergraduate course pursued by students after the completion of 10+2 with PCM/PCB from a recognized board. This course deals with the cultivation of seeds, vegetables, plants, flowers, herbs, fruits, shrubs, gardens, maintaining nurseries, green houses etc. This branch of study also covers plant diseases, growth and genetics. There are several government as well as private colleges in India that offer this course. Students can pursue this course at an affordable fee. Moreover, most of the universities are offering scholarship facility. Admission in this course can be taken on either merit basis or by scores obtained in national, state or college level. Admission is then done through counseling. It must be noted that the minimum age for admission in this course is 17 years and there is no maximum age limit for taking admission.
