COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST (CLAT)

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance test for the candidates willing to take admission to National Law Universities in India. CLAT scores are used by some private and self financed law schools. Not only this, but Public Sector Undertakings such as ONGC, Coal India, BHEL, Steel Authority, Oil India, etc. use CLAT scores for recruitment of legal positions in the company.

ELIGIBILITY

FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% from a recognized board of education.
  • There is no upper age limit for this exam.

For POST GRADUATE PROGRAM

  • Candidates must have passed LLB/BL(Bachelor of Laws). Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 50% marks.
  • There is no upper age restriction for pursuing this exam.

EXAM PATTERN

  • The duration of the test is 2 hours.
  • The question paper consists of 200 and 102 questions for UG CLAT and PG CLAT respectively.
  • The paper comprises of 5 sections English Including Comprehension, Current Affairs Including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques
  • Each correct answer rewards 1mark and whereas 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The medium of paper is English.
