BSc Agriculture
- BSc Agriculture is a four year under graduate course divided into eight semesters that is pursued after the completion of 10+2.
- This course focuses on different aspects of agriculture like genetics and plant breeding, agricultural microbiology, soil science, plant pathology, etc.
- A student must have passed 10+2 from Science stream (PCB/PCM) with a minimum of 50% from a recognized board.
- The minimum age limit to pursue this course is 18years whereas there is no upper age limit.
- Graduates can work as Agriculture Officer, Research Officer, Production Manager, Agriculture Development Officer, Marketing Executive, Agriculture Executive, Seed Technologist, etc.
- BSc Horticulture is a four year undergraduate course divided into eight semesters which is pursued after Graduation.
- This course deals with the cultivation of seeds, vegetables, plants, flowers, herbs, fruits, shrubs, gardens, maintaining nurseries, green houses etc. This branch of study also covers plant diseases, growth and genetics.
- A student must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% in Science Stream (PCM/PCB) from a recognized university.
- The minimum age limit to pursue this course is 17 years whereas maximum age limit to pursue this course is 35 years.
- Graduates can work as Horticulturist, Plant Breeder, Crop Consultant, Breeding Manager, Technical Assistant, Research Scientist, Nursery Manager, etc.

BSc Agriculture and BSc Horticulture are both branches of science but differ from each other in several ways. But it is true that both the courses are career oriented and give deep knowledge to the students.
