Diploma in Pharmacy (DPHARMA) is a 2 year course pursued by students after the completion of 10+2 with PCM/PCB from a recognized board. In this course, students are trained about drugs and medicines, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Medicinal Chemistry etc. This program enables the scholars to teach about different chemical salts, their application and uses in medicine. This is a career oriented course and diploma holders can either work at Pharmaceutical companies, health care departments, hospitals, clinics, etc. or they can run their own medical store or chain.
There are several government as well as private colleges in India that offer this course. Students can pursue this course at an affordable fee. Moreover, most of the universities are offering scholarship facility. Admission in this course can be taken on either merit basis or by scores obtained in national, state or college level. Admission is then done through counseling. Several colleges provide regular as well as distance learning DPharmacy (Diploma in Pharmacy) course. It must be noted that the minimum age for admission in this course is 17 years on or before 31st December of the same year and there is no maximum age limit for pursuing this course.
