Polytechnic is a diploma course in technical education that focuses on imparting knowledge related to engineering field. It is a 3 year professional course which can be pursued after either class 10th or class 12th. The duration of the course for students appearing after High School is 3years whereas for students appearing after class 12th is 2 years. The demand for Polytechnic course has increased gradually.
The candidates can seek admission in Polytechnic through an entrance exam or through direct admission. After completing the diploma in engineering , students can get lateral entry in BTech which means admission in second year of BTech.
