WBSCC (West Bengal Student Credit Card Colleges in Dehradun Uttarakhand
On June 30th, 2021, Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee launched the West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme which is very helpful for the students who wish to pursue secondary, higher secondary, madrasah, undergraduate and postgraduate studies, professional degree in any School, Madrasah, College, University and other affiliated institutes within and outside India. Not only this, but the students who are studying in coaching institutes for appearing in Engineering, Medical, Law, IAS, IPS, WBCS, etc competitive or entrance exams can also avail the loan of up to Rs 10 lakh under this scheme.

ELIGIBILITY
The eligibility criteria for the students of the West Bengal student credit card are as follows:
- He/She must be an Indian national as well as a resident of West Bengal for the last 10 years or more when applying for the card.
- He/She must have completed education till Class IX from a recognized Board in West Bengal.
- He/She must be enrolled for higher studies in India or abroad.
- He/She must have taken admission in a school, madrasa, colleges, university, or other institutes like IITs, IIMs, IISc, IIESTs, ISIs, NLUs, AIIMSs, NITs, XLRI, BITS, SPA, NID, IIFTs, ICFAI Business School, etc., or in a coaching institute to prepare for competitive examinations such as Engineering, Medical, Law, IAS, IPS, WBCS, SSC, etc.
- He/She must not be more than 40 years old.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
The documents required to apply for a credit card for students are:
- Colour Photograph of the applicant
- Colour Photograph of the co-applicant / co-borrower
- Signature of the student
- Co-borrower / Guardian’s signature
- Student’s AADHAR Card
- Student’s Class 10th Board registration certificate
- Guardian’s Address Proof
- Admission Receipt
- Student’s PAN Card/undertaking if there is no PAN Card
- Guardian’s PAN Card/undertaking if there is no PAN Card
- The relevant page of the brochure/document detaining course fee/tuition fee
INTEREST RATE AND REPAYMENT PERIOD
Through this scheme, students can a loan of up to Rs 10lakh with a nominal interest of 4%. The repayment period for this loan is 15 years. The institution and department of higher Education will send the application of students to the bank. Students can use the loan amount for institutional as well as non-institutional expenses like rent, hostel fees, study tours, projects, etc
